SMART Local 44 Wages and Benefits
SMART Local 44 sets the area standards in wages and benefits. No matter what your skill level, we have a competitive wage package for you. Our members receive an hourly wage with additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and pension all provided at no extra cost to you. Power tools are provided by employer.
Our Benefits don’t come off your hourly wage, they are in addition to what you make on the check!
Our Pre-Apprentices start out at $13.80 on the check with $2.43 in benefits for a total package of $16.23. (.25 raises after 1 month, 3 months and 6 months)
Our Apprentices start out at $19.71 on the check with $17.32 in benefits for a total package of $37.03 (Increases during four year apprenticeship with raises every six months)
Our Journeyman earn $39.42 on the check with $33.94 in benefits for a total package of $73.36.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid State issued ID
- Have dependable transportation
- High School Diploma or GED (For Apprenticeship Applicants Only)
- Pass a pre-hire Drug Screening
- Have the desire to learn and work well with others
- Use industry related tools and safety products
- Authorized to work in the United States
